If you downloaded a song and it had a virus, is it possible to remove it & put it on your ipod virusfree?

I downloaded songs from bareshare %26amp; I don't know if they're safe. So if I used a virus remover, could I make the songs virus free, then put it on my ipod?

If the file had a virus it won't do anything to your ipod because your ipod runs a different operating system and there are no viruses for it. Viruses could be made, but no one has made one so far. It's the same reason why Mac's have less viruses, less people using them means less viruses. It doesn't make much sense making a virus for an ipod when you could make it for something like Windows or Mac.

So, you could put the song on with or without the virus, but I recommend removing it from you computer, so it doesn't effect that.
Reply:Just look elsewhere and download a clean version.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
Reply:viruses are normally found in .dll, .exe. and .com file formats, MP3 files are normally safe. They take special programs to read them, and those programs interact with your sound card. you should be safe.
