Don't be confused by the rating of the card. While it is theoretically capable of 54mbps, your actual speed will dependent upon the speed of your network provider. It is extremely rare for networks to operate at speeds the network interface cards (NICs) are capable of.
The other factor, of course, is the size of the file.
